Step into a leadership role and take your manufacturing career further as a Line Lead with Berner Food & Beverage. In this hands-on role, you’ll help drive daily operations, lead by example on the production floor, and support a culture of quality, safety, and teamwork. As a Line Lead, you’ll play a key role in guiding and developing your team, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining the high standards that define Berner’s success.

Job Duties/Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the process expert across all packaging and brewing line operations
  • Maintain target throughput levels by responding quickly to production issues, leading troubleshooting efforts, and escalating concerns to the Supervisor when needed
  • Support training and skill development for operators, ensuring all team members are prepared and confident in their roles
  • Participate in performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members
  • Complete all required process documentation accurately and submit on time
  • Verify proper material flow and proactively minimize waste throughout the packaging process
  • Coordinate major activities, including changeovers, clean-ups, set-ups, and shutdowns
  • Organize shift break schedules and monitor attendance to maintain production flow
  • Adjust operator assignments and step into production duties as needed
  • Communicate clearly with Supervisors and other team leads to coordinate production and prevent interruptions between departments.
  • Ability and flexibility to work other shifts as needed on the beverage lines. 
  • Uphold compliance with all Berner GMP, EHS, Food Safety, and personal conduct standards
  • Partner with quality, maintenance, and warehouse leads to align shift operations with production requirements
  • Lead packaging employees during drills or emergencies, ensuring safety procedures and evacuations are properly executed
  • Drive compliance with CILR activities and maintain established schedules

Pay Range/Benefits: 

  • Hourly rate: $19.00–$23.00 (based on experience)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)


Qualifiications 

  • Consistent attendance and performance records in line with company policy
  • Food and Beverage Production Experience highly preferred; or strong experience as a lead in a manufacturing setting,
  • Capability to perform all tasks required within the packaging department
  • Ability to interpret production schedules and identify correct job materials
  • Proficiency in using MES to record accurate downtime and production data
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working  Conditions 

  • Indoors
  • ability to lift to 50lbs
  • Outdoors, as required to unload trucks.
  • Walking on wet and slippery floors
  • Seasonal heat index in excess of 100? F
  • Standing/Walking approximately 95% of the shift
