Job Details Job Location: Porter Ranch, CA 91326 Position Type: Part-Time Benefited (30+ hours) Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Job Category: Management POSITION SUMMARY The Community Well-Being Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Center in managing the execution of the Healthy Living Strategy – assisting in the execution of the Pathways to Belonging framework including Membership and Programs, Volunteerism, Community, and Philanthropy, while still being in ratio 25% at the Welcome Center. This position is responsible for all aspects of member involvement, volunteer initiatives, assist philanthropic activities, and help to organize impactful community events. This position plays a role in annual fundraising, marketing and new member acquisition, retention, involvement, and engagement. This position is key in communicating the YMCA Center for Community Well-Being strategic framework to the members, staff, and community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Membership and Programs Provide a welcoming environment in the Center for all members and guests. Implement membership marketing, sales and retention plans to promote membership growth for the YMCA. Monitor and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual membership enrollment goals. Ensure all membership and program enrollments are processed accurately and thoroughly. Build a strong relationship with members and the community by evaluating the scope and quality of the membership, programs offered, community needs, cost and other collaborations. Coordinate and promote programs and activities that align with organizational goals. Track, monitor, and follow up with all prospective members that show interest. Assist in community opportunities (events, initiatives, activities) for the community and members to develop small communities and additional pathways. Volunteerism Assist in the management of volunteers to support various organizational needs. Ensure adequate coverage for all events and programs. Help deliver recognition and appreciation initiatives to enhance volunteer satisfaction and retention. Track and report on volunteer hours and contributions. Comply with all applicable volunteer procedures including working with appropriate software systems. Philanthropy Help identify potential donors and sponsors. Collaborate with Center staff members on fundraising campaigns and events to support organizational objectives. Participate in community outreach through grassroots outings, building relationships and partnerships with community leaders, local businesses, and local government. Community Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and goals. Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and budget management. Promote events through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and community outreach. Evaluate event success and gather feedback to improve future events. Leadership Engage with members regarding their participation in YMCA Programs, Annual Support Campaign, and special events by being in ratio at the Welcome Center. Assist the Center with administrative tasks including but not limited to, staff scheduling, department timesheet monitoring and report auditing. Participate in community outreach through grassroots outings, building relationships and partnerships with community leaders, local businesses, and local government. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required. Uphold YMCA policies for safety, supervision, mandated reporting and risk management.
