Job Title: Band 6 Locum Dietitian Location: University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton on Tees Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until the end of the year Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Rate: £25-28 per hour Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Locum Dietitian to join the team at University Hospital of North Tees. This is a full-time, locum position starting ASAP and running until the end of the year. The role involves supporting malnourished patients and providing dietary assessments and interventions to improve patient outcomes. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care to a variety of patients across different specialties. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for providing nutritional assessments, developing care plans, and delivering interventions to malnourished patients, ensuring appropriate dietary support is in place. The role includes advising patients and their families on suitable nutrition plans, supporting with enteral feeding when necessary, and monitoring the progress of patients' nutritional intake. You will also collaborate with medical and nursing teams to manage patients' dietary needs and contribute to discharge planning. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and guidelines, and engage in continuous professional development. Qualifications and Experience: HCPC registered Dietitian. Experience working with malnourished patients, preferably in an acute hospital setting. Knowledge of enteral feeding and related nutrition interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
