This role will need to have technical expertise and proven experience to lead large Property placements. We are seeking someone who has strong relationships with brokers and clients, a broad knowledge of wordings and policies, an understanding of RMS modelling, and who has the ability to rate and price risks accordingly. Our Wholesale Property team offers Property and Business Interruption coverage to commercial clients in the America’s. We focus on light commercial occupancies in the US often exposed to CAT perils. We work through a network of brokers who share our commitment to long-term partnerships built on a strong service proposition. Location: This position will be based out of our London office. Our business, your impact, our opportunity: What you’ll be doing: Underwriting focused role within a U$ 200m Property portfolio of both open market and delegated business Responsibilities will include both renewal and new business in the America’s Conduct broker and client meetings Provide input and feedback at the weekly underwriting meetings. Creates and utilizes marketing materials and other product collateral to support marketing and production initiatives. Provide technical input in product development. Full and thorough underwriting of all accounts in accordance with underwriting guidelines and individual authority granted by management. Monitoring all industry and specific account trends. Implementing a field service reputation that is recognized as superior in the industry. What you’ll bring: Relevant Property underwriting experience. Experience and technical knowledge of underwriting large Property placements Experience in underwriting North American and International Property business Strong problem solving and decision making abilities Excellent written and oral communication skills Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
