Associate Professor of Music Education

Interfolio Demo University seeks talented and creative scholars and artists for appointment to its Music Education Department within the Music Division. Appoints are anticipated for the Fall 2019 semester.

Responsibilities include teaching music and music education classes at both the graduate and undergraduate levels; the mentoring of candidates through the development and defense of dissertations and theses; serving on divisional and college-wide committees; providing academic advisement to students; program and curriculum development; and providing such other support to the Music Division as may be assigned by the Division Chair periodically.

The preferred candidates may also demonstrate professional relationships to the Music Education network, and display a willingness to help graduates develop professional networks that lead to career opportunities.

• Candidates should possess a doctoral degree (Ed.D., Ph.D., or D.M.A.) in Music Education;
• prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level; and
• demonstrate knowledge, skills, and competencies in music education pedagogy;
• have NYS certification with expertise in either traditional or jazz/commercial genres.
