Job Description: Title: Associate Data Scientist Location: UK - Remote Reports to: Director, Data Science The Role: We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our talented UK team to help develop and deliver new products, services and insights to our global customers in the automotive sector. The Impact You Will Have in This Role: The role will directly contribute to the development of safer, more reliable cars, influencing the automotive industry positively. What You'll Be Doing in This Role: Using the latest AI approaches to solve complex data challenges across the automotive industry. Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets related to the automotive industry. Developing predictive models to understand potential car faults and their causes. Preparing detailed data reports and presenting findings to stakeholders. Qualifications of this Role: Desirable experience Demonstrable experience working on data science related projects as part of a team. Experience delivering value to stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience. Required technical skills Degree in relevant subject. Experience using Python. Experience using machine learning techniques. Experience using statistical techniques. Desirable technical skills Post graduate degree. Experience working with Large Language Models. Experience with natural language processing/text analysis. Experience with actuarial loss reserving techniques. Desirable competencies Be able to combine independent thinking with problem-solving skills. You will also need to work well as part of a team and have a flexible and agile approach to your work. Independent, responsible, accountable. Problem solver, shows initiative, eager to learn, self-learner/researcher. Project management skills - understands company strategies/priorities and plans workload/technical solutions accordingly.
