Assistant Manager – Asphalt Location: Tytherington Quarry Onsite | Company Van Provided Competitive Salary + Shift Allowance Purpose of the Role As Assistant Manager, you will support the Operational Management Team in achieving safety, environmental, cost, quality, and service objectives through effective leadership and management of the operational team. You’ll play a key role in driving efficiency and improving performance across all areas of the business. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety: Operate to the highest standards in line with Heidelberg Materials’ Health & Safety Plan, implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Environmental: Ensure compliance with environmental objectives and drive improvements aligned with our Environmental Management Plan. Compliance: Adhere to statutory legislation and company regulations across all operational activities. Operations: Achieve optimum production levels at the lowest operational cost while advancing efficiency improvements. Distribution: Collaborate with logistics to deliver exceptional customer service at the most efficient cost. Quality: Work with technical teams to maintain the highest quality standards. Business Analysis: Provide accurate and relevant operational data to support decision-making and profit-enhancing opportunities. Additional Responsibilities Resource Planning: Assist in workforce planning, training, and development to ensure succession planning and operational readiness. Leadership: Provide clear direction and foster a culture of proactive development within the site team. Control: Implement effective operational control mechanisms, including health & safety, environmental compliance, and capital project management.
