Job Description: Job Description: Full-time Anesthesiologist position available at BI-Plymouth. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Plymouth has been providing world-class care to Plymouth and Barnstable County residents since 1903. The hospital is conveniently located off Route 3 with easy access to the Beth Israel Lahey Health Breast Center–Plymouth. We are a 170-bed community hospital in the Beth Israel Lahey Health network. We are the southernmost site of the network and serve many patients who live on Cape Cod. Our surgical suite consists of eight state-of-the-art operating rooms (ORs) and a pre-op area that is contiguous with a spacious Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Our operating rooms are equipped with laparoscopic equipment, and we offer Brainlab image-guided surgery for complex spine surgery. Services provided include the following: minimal-access laparoscopic surgery, including colorectal surgery, plastics and reconstructive surgery, orthopedic sports medicine, total and complex joint replacement, podiatry, ankle and hand surgery, cancer surgery, urological procedures for men and women, obstetrics and gynecological surgery, ENT surgery, including outpatient pediatrics, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic and general outpatient pediatric surgery, complex spine surgery, endoscopy surgery (ERCP planned to start in 2021), cardiovascular services, including permanent pacemaker insertion. The Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth Anesthesia Department is comprised of Anesthesiologists, CRNAs and nurse practitioners, all of whom are committed to patient comfort during surgery and through recovery. Our anesthesiologists are experts in post-surgery pain control and minimizing postoperative pain. We utilize the most advanced anesthetic techniques and equipment to minimize patient discomfort while promoting rapid recovery and emphasizing patient safety. The types of anesthesia used are general, regional (spinal, epidural, peripheral nerve block), local and monitored anesthesia care (MAC). Skills & Requirements: A degree in medicine from an accredited medical school and is licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within anesthesia. Relies on sound experience and judgement to plan and accomplish safe treatment goals Adherence to established practice guidelines as set by the department and governing bodies Willingness to work collaboratively in an equitable and inclusive environment with colleagues and staff Adaptability and flexibility. Pay Range: $420,000 - $462,000 The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
