Job Description Crown is searching for Air Traffic Control Radar Engineers. Technicians and Systems Engineers with experience in maintaining, optimizing, and installing digital Primary Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR) Systems, such as FAA ASR-9, ASR-11 models, and FAA Secondary Radar System, such as the ATCBI-6/Mode-S or comparable military primary and secondary radar systems. Positions Available: Quality Control Analyst Safety Risk Management Analyst Training Specialist Senior Systems Engineer Junior Systems Engineer Engineering Technician Technical Writer Senior Installation and Activation Specialist Mid-Level Installation and Activation Specialist *The field installation and optimization positions requires up to 100% travel. Several Position such as Technical Writing, Safety Risk management, Quality Control, Systems Engineering will allow work from home. Responsibilities: Assemble, install and optimize equipment, as well as follow approved test plans to meet FAA commissioning criteria Interpret radar data to identify potential threats or operational issues. Ensure radar systems function properly and accurately Prepare a System Level Implementation Plan (SLIP) for government approval activities to include Site Surveys, Site Design, Facility Adaptation (Site Preparations), Installation Optimization and check out, acceptance testing, Equipment Cutover Prepare Site Specific Implementation Plans (SSIP) for each site to include all electrical, mechanical, test equipment and physical installation aspects for the RSR solution to include interfacing with the government-specified demarcation point(s). Quality control and safety risk management activities are integral components of a robust quality management system (QMS), working together to ensure product integrity, regulatory compliance, and personnel safety. Conduct a Site Acceptance Test (SAT) that includes an end-to-end solution verification test to validate the RSR installation, operation and performance. Qualifications For ATC Radar Technicians or military equivalent, an Associate degree in electronics or electronic engineering technology, or equivalent military or FAA or Military training certificates For ATC Radar Engineers, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, radar engineering, or a related field is required. Minimum of 4 years of experience in radar signal processing, digital and analog circuits, microprocessors, antenna performance for the primary and secondary radar systems, and possess the ability to use diagnostic tools and software Proficiency in reading electronic schematics and flowcharts Understanding of electronic principles, radar signal processing, digital and analog circuits, microprocessors, and computer systems used in radar technology Strong knowledge of electronics, radar systems, and troubleshooting is essential, often gained through formal education or specialized technical training. Proficiency with tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters and signal generators is crucial for system maintenance.
