Aerodynamics Engineering Intern- Summer 2026 Company: Boeing United Kingdom Limited An internship opportunity has arisen at Boeing’s UK High-Lift Aerodynamics Collaboration Centre (HiLACC), based at the 5 metre wind tunnel at the Cody Technology Park, Farnborough, UK. The HiLACC Flight Sciences team is a direct extension of the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Flight Sciences team in the USA. The role on offer is for a 3-month summer Aerodynamics Engineering Intern to start in June/July 2026 supporting BCA Flight Sciences work at the HiLACC. The intern will be actively involved in contributing to aerodynamics research in areas including (among others): Aerodynamic research and analysis. The development and utilisation of analytical predictive capabilities (such as CFD, etc). Contributing to the development of robust analysis processes. Position Responsibilities: Understand the array of predictive capabilities utilised in the aerodynamic design of aeroplanes. Assist in some of the research and development projects ongoing at the HiLACC which may include: Supporting the development of robust tools to facilitate geometry and pre-processing steps for CFD High-lift characteristics Buffet Aircraft wake analysis Wind tunnel data interpretation Learn and start to utilise predictive capabilities such as CFD to understand flow phenomena in aeroplane design and wind tunnel testing. Shadow and assist work in the development of geometry and analysis tools aligned with model based engineering. Actively participate in group meetings and technical discussions. Understand the need for wind tunnel testing and provide some support for any ongoing tests and the related data analysis. Due to the nature of the role and HiLACC team, the role is primarily based onsite.
