Polypipe Building Services houses well-known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects for over 50 years. Role: To support the efficient running of the Fabrication department by managing support functions and services within the department. Housekeeping and area management alongside SSW adherence are critical functions in this role. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring that material deliveries are checked against delivery notes and quality sheets are booked correctly on IFS Making up wood frames ready for finished fabricated items Ensure components are ready & located line-side ready for fabrication Booking and labelling of shop orders postproduction and subsequent transportation to the despatch areas and return of unused components to the warehouse Supporting fabricators as required with lifting and of materials Shop order booking on IFS to include labelling of products, loading into stillage/boxes. Hands on practical skills to assemble stillages with hand tools Full adherence to the H&S systems provided for tasks undertaken. Housekeeping, ensuring that all areas are kept clear, clean and tidy Skills and Requirements: Understanding of warehouse basic processes Microsoft Office and IFS knowledge MHE driving licence or willingness to be trained IFS warehouse, shop floor and stock control would be advantage but training will be provided if required Flexible and willing to learn new skills.
