Technical Support Administrator Apprenticeship Supporting the GPS team to deliver operational excellence. Looking to start your career in Business Administration? Why This Role Matters GPS plays a vital role in supporting policy servicing within a regulatory framework. As a Technical Specialist Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of activities—from managing data, learning about compliance to supporting operational delivery. What will you bring? What You’ll Be Doing Monitor GPS Business Management mailboxes and manage communications. Prepare and collate MI reports for key stakeholders. Maintain GPS licence information and authority levels. Provide admin support including quality checks, updates, and resource planning support. Update and maintain GPS SharePoint site. Support governance, audit preparation, and compliance tracking. Organise team meetings and engagement activities like Star of the Quarter. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Maintain tracking spreadsheet of risk events within GPS. Coordinate monthly Business Management reporting. Support Audit Governance with audit prep, monitoring timely completion of actions and ad-hoc requests. Support monthly refund and concession checks. Compliance & Governance Responsibilities Fully comply with regulatory requirements in accordance with company guidelines to support Unum’s ability to continue to do business, including identification of risk. Ensure continued protection of Unum’s information by following all applicable Information Security policies and reporting suspected weaknesses to the Information Security Officer. Understand how Conduct Risk, Treating Customers Fairly, Consumer Duty, Risk Management and Solvency II Systems of Governance relate to both the role and divisional activities. Comply with Unum’s Code of Conduct and other Company Policies and Procedures as appropriate to the role. Skills You Will Develop Business Administration fundamentals. What You’ll Bring GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above). Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. PC literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Qualification & Training Provider ST0070 Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship – Duration: 18 months (plus end point assessment period) Training Provider: Basingstoke College of Technology Why join us?
