Competition #2025-104 Full-Time Permanent Closing Date: Friday, September 26, 2025 Summary Under the supervision of the Director, the Administrative Assistant will handle a wide range of program and administrative support to the FNELCC daily operations. Specific Responsibilities Organize and coordinate meetings and prepare meeting packages for FNELCC teams as required. Answering the Microsoft team's phone, complete a portion of the service request form and forward it to the appropriate staff. Greet visitors and guests. Respond to internal/external inquiries different than service requests and forward to the appropriate staff. Writing, editing and proofreading documents, correspondence, memos, proposals and reports as required. Coordinate travel requests, vehicle rentals if necessary, and distribute notices and confirmations as required. Keep daily itineraries for FNELCC staff. Complete payment of invoices, travel, expense claims, etc. Sort and distribute incoming mail/fax/email to the appropriate department. Maintain office files, equipment, and order office supplies when necessary. Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment. Track and monitor financial data for FNELCC workplan activities as required. Assist with reporting requirements. Coordinate workplan gatherings and events with the Executive Assistant. Assists with the development of policies and procedures for FNELCC Other duties as assigned Qualifications A certificate in Administrative Support from a recognized College or a combination of at least two years related experience, education and training. Knowledge of general office procedures, practices, and office equipment operations. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Application Software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentations, Outlook, and Internet. Knowledge of database management Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills. Ability to work as a team member. Must have a working knowledge of First Nation culture, customs, values and traditions. Fluent in a First Nation language would be an asset. Experience working in a First Nations or First Nation organization is an asset. Applicants must provide current criminal record and child abuse registry checks.
