Location: Hybrid, Dorking 2 days per week, 1 further day spent in Dorking, Basingstoke or London Unum UK is looking for an Actuarial Reporting Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping our actuarial reporting and transformation agenda. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified actuary with a passion for financial reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. You’ll work across Solvency II, USGAAP, and UKGAAP reporting, while mentoring junior team members and driving innovation in actuarial processes. What will you bring? Responsibilities: Lead and manage actuarial reporting activities, including Solvency II balance sheet, P&L results, and regulatory submissions. Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear, concise financial insights and technical guidance. Communicate complex actuarial concepts in a clear and engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences. Coach and mentor actuarial trainees, supporting their development and contributing to a high-performing team culture. Champion innovation in actuarial systems and reporting methodologies, helping us evolve and improve how we work. About you: A qualified actuary with strong experience (We are open to candidates from all backgrounds, Life, GI, Pensions etc) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business narratives Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional working. A keen interest in finance transformation and process improvement. High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and expert-level Excel proficiency. Experience with actuarial systems (e.g. RAFM, Unify) is a plus.
