Job Description What is the opportunity? The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the actuarial and risk management functions for international business. What will you do? Support and enhance the actuarial and risk management functions for the International business, with a focus on month-end valuation reporting. Other duties/workstreams include but are not limited to: mortality studies, in-force data updates, and actuarial modelling. Work closely with the business and other functional partners on strategic projects and tactical actions, and assist these areas in achieving their goals Support ad-hoc work in areas to support teams working on model changes, actuarial issue investigations or assumption changes. What will you need to succeed? Must-Haves: Bachelor’s degree (or above) majoring in Actuarial Science. Other relevant Majors (e.g. Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics) are acceptable if accompanied with demonstrated knowledge of Actuarial concepts Analytical and Mathematical Proficiency: Strong aptitude for mathematics, statistics, and data analysis. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate findings, both verbally and in writing. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, potentially other software like SQL or R, Moody's AXIS experience is an asset, and familiarity with actuarial concepts and methodologies. Attention to Detail: Accuracy and meticulousness in data handling and analysis. Nice-to-Haves: Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant actuarial experience 3 SOA Exams Working experience with Moody's Axis, SQL, R and Tableau What's in it for you?
