We are now looking for an Account- and Business Development Manager to join our team in Amsterdam. Someone who knows what it means to take ownership, lead under pressure and think strategically because you have done it before.

Your role
As Account Manager you are responsible for your own domain within COBBS. You manage the full journey from opportunity to delivery and build lasting relationships that drive growth.
 
As Account Manager Maritime, you own the maritime domain within COBBS Industries. You work directly with the Royal Netherlands Navy, maritime Defense units and key industry partners, translating operational needs into effective, deployable solutions. With a deep understanding of the maritime battlespace, you identify capability gaps, lead tenders and projects end-to-end, and build long-term relationships that drive impact. In this role, you shape the maritime portfolio of COBBS and strengthen the operational edge of maritime defense.
 
Key tasks
  • Develop and execute your own account and growth strategy;
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Ministry of Defense, National Police and industry partners;
  • Identify capability gaps and translate them into clear propositions;
  • Lead tenders, projects and negotiations from start to finish;
  • Coordinate with Sales Support and Operations to ensure precision and delivery;
  • Ensure compliance with export control and legal frameworks;
  • Represent COBBS at customer visits, events and international exhibitions.
As Account Manager Maritime, you own the maritime domain within COBBS Industries. You work directly with the Royal Netherlands Navy, maritime Defense units and key industry partners, translating operational needs into effective, deployable solutions. With a deep understanding of the maritime battlespace — from surface warfare and ISR to unmanned systems and platform integration — you identify capability gaps, lead tenders and projects end-to-end, and build long-term relationships that drive impact. In this role, you shape the maritime portfolio of COBBS and strengthen the operational edge of maritime defense.
 
Requirements
You are a leader by nature: experienced, analytical and mission driven. You combine operational insight with commercial awareness and strategic vision.
  • Recent experience within the Ministry of Defense or Law Enforcement (preferably Navy or Law enforcement equivalent);
  • Proven leadership and a professional network that matters;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Skilled in project based work and familiar with ERP systems;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (German is an advantage);
  • Willing to travel internationally (approx. one week per month).
