About the Role The Women’s and Girls Together Project is an inspiring initiative in Pembrokeshire, designed to support vulnerable females aged 11 to 21 who may be at risk of exploitation, violence, grooming, or engaging in risk-taking behaviours. At its heart, the service is dedicated to putting children and young people first, working hand-in-hand with multi-disciplinary teams across the county, including Health and Social Services, to provide a truly holistic approach. Support is delivered in a variety of ways—through group sessions, one-to-one guidance, and peer mentoring—creating a safe, empowering environment where young women can build resilience, find their voice, and thrive. How you’ll create brighter futures We are looking for a motivated Young Person's Practitioner who is committed to delivering these sessions across Pembrokeshire. You will do this by: By working with vulnerable females to better their emotional well-being and self-belief. Supporting them to recognise negative relationships, risk taking behaviour and the consequences of this. Working with them to improve the five psychosocial skills. Creating accessible and person-centred friendly plans and assessments. By contributing to the development of the service through a team approach and service evaluation. Let’s talk about you Proven experience supporting children and young people through both one‑to‑one and group work, with the ability to engage effectively and build trust. Specialist knowledge of safeguarding and protection processes, including child protection, looked‑after child procedures, confidentiality requirements, and the Sexual Exploitation Risk Assessment Framework. Understanding of risk‑taking behaviours and person‑centred approaches, with experience in developing and reviewing tailored plans that empower young people. Strong teamwork and independence skills, able to collaborate across multi‑disciplinary services while also working confidently on individual responsibilities. Experience of line management of staff. Able to work flexibly including evenings.
