The GCIO COO function operates as the backbone of the GCIO organisation, taking ownership and accountability for all operational aspects to ensure a seamless running of the GCIO business to exceptionally high standards. Aligned to the overall HSBC business structure, focused on continuous improvement and simplification to support GCIO to a consistent high quality, GCIO COO acts as a key enabler to the firm’s ambition to ‘be the most trusted bank globally, putting customers at the heart of everything we do’. This role sits within the Enterprise Technology Workforce Management function of GCIO COO and will play a key part in shaping how we plan, manage and evolve our Global Technology workforce to meet business opportunities. The Engagement Analyst will support the delivery of the engagement agenda for Enterprise Technology. Working closely with the Engagement Lead, the incumbent will help to unite and connect individuals across the function as ‘one team’ and align to the goals across HSBC Technology (GCIO), and the wider Bank. They will be an active part of a broader engagement team across multiple technology functions and global regions. The role holder will build strong, collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders to support and drive an inclusive culture and enable our people to thrive in their work. In this role you will: Supporting the Engagement Lead in fostering a sense of community and belonging across the team, increasing engagement for staff through targeted, meaningful and consistent activity. Helping to shape and deliver internal Enterprise Technology specific engagement plans that connect back to, and support key strategies across Technology, and the wider Bank. With or on behalf of the Engagement Lead, representing Enterprise Technology in comms and engagement forums. Supporting the agenda and organisation of forums including All Hands, Town Halls, colleague exchanges, and others as appropriate – and understanding feedback data provided at these forums. Assisting in / creating and disseminating high quality, clear, engaging content for a range of key stakeholders. Working on programmes that support targeted learning across the team, driving knowledge sharing and DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) initiatives. Being active in, and connecting with, various DEI forums across Technology in alignment with the Engagement Lead. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: An experienced engagement analyst (project coordinator) with experience supporting and delivering people initiatives across a wide range of topics (including but not limited to; DEI, learning & development, recognition, talent planning) within Technology environment. Ability to support on and/or deliver high quality engagement forums, such as Townhalls, All Hands, exchanges and other colleague information and feedback sessions, often in partnership with stakeholders and collaborators. Awareness of creating high-quality, compelling internal communications that support key messages. Interest in, and respect for branding guidelines as set out by the organisation. Able to produce creative, high-quality materials using tools such as Zoom, Slido, MS PowerPoint. Strong presentation skills is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work effectively with stakeholders of varying levels of seniority across diverse networks and multi-regional geographies.
