UTILITY MAN

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Affiliation: U02: AFL-CIO, LOCAL 517 Job Description: This job is semi-skilled primarily involving the installation and maintenance of water meters. It requires a basic knowledge of water distribution systems and more specific understanding of meter repair and installation. Under the supervision of the Field Superintendent, the worker is expected to work independently and schedule his/her own appointments with customers. Work is subject to ongoing review in terms of quality and timeliness. Experience/Training Required: Possession of high school diploma or equivalent, experience in water system maintenance repair; preferably meter repair. Valid Michigan motor vehicle operator's license with CDL.
