Underwriter – Bridging Finance Wilmslow | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Bonus Are you an experienced Underwriter within bridging or short-term property finance? Looking to join a fast-paced, growing lender where your decisions genuinely shape the business? We’re expanding our team and are looking for a confident, solutions-focused Underwriter who can balance commercial thinking with strong risk awareness. What You’ll Do Assess and underwrite bridging loan applications across residential, semi-commercial and commercial properties. Make clear, confident decisions in line with funding and risk appetite. Communicate decisions effectively to brokers, clients and internal teams. Work creatively to structure deals that work for both the client and the business. Manage your own pipeline while supporting team delivery. Build strong relationships with brokers and external partners. What We’re Looking For Previous underwriting experience within short-term/bridging finance (essential). Strong understanding of property, valuations, risk and deal structure. Confident communicator who can handle challenging conversations when needed. A problem solver who enjoys the quirk and complexity of deals. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and stays calm under pressure.
