A Training Coordinator is responsible for offering training services to staff, implementing human resources policies, and coordinating continued training opportunities throughout the course of an employee’s time with the company. This position ensures employees receive the necessary training to complete their jobs in the most efficient way possible. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Training System Create a system to capture current experience index by person and skills Identify required skill level increases Coordinate training and work schedules to plan for necessary skill increase Follow up to ensure training has happened as expected Capture revised experience index Schedule for assessment and refresher training on regular basis Coordinate training and knowledge checks with EH&S to ensure all regulatory and safety training is kept current Report on progress of training and skill levels Training Material Craft necessary training material, modify training documents as required Coordinate necessary documentation/material for mock drills and exercises Prepare educational aids and materials Support Site Set Up Craft and deliver appropriate training material in conjunction with Senior Manager Provide hands-on support for new employees at site set up Assess Training Affectiveness Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs Schedule planned opportunities to expands skills Modify training documents as needs change Track Training Maintain updated curriculum database and training records Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment Plans the review and any follow up coaching required Implement Best Practice Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design and needs Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques Research and recommend new training methods, like gamification (Team scores on exams, extra training sessions, etc). QUALIFICATIONS The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential duties of this position. Education and/or Experience Diploma or associate degree (or equivalent) highly preferred. 5+ years of relative experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
