Interocean is seeking a motivated Scots law graduate to join our in-house legal and commercial team as a trainee solicitor. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the offshore energy and marine services sector, working closely with experienced legal counsel and commercial managers. What you’ll do Cover core legal activities in commercial contracts, procurement, compliance, and regulatory work Draft and review contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and internal policies Support and observe commercial negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners Conduct legal research and provide advice on contract clauses and regulatory developments Participate in cross-departmental projects (HR, Finance, Operations) Attend business strategy meetings and gain commercial and financial awareness Complete mandatory ethics and compliance training (including AML) Maintain a PEAT 2 record with evidence mapped to all outcome areas What we offer Structured supervision, including weekly check-ins, monthly reviews, and quarterly PEAT 2 Quarterly Performance Reviews Regular feedback and reflection sessions to support your professional development Opportunities to present at team meetings and contribute to business strategy Remuneration in line with Law Society of Scotland recommended trainee rates Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout recruitment and training Scots law LLB and Diploma (PEAT 1) graduate (or due to qualify) Strong interest in commercial law, contracts, and the energy/marine sector Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills Willingness to learn, adapt, and take responsibility for your development Supportive team environment Private Healthcare Plan Pension Plans Life Assurance Work From Home Training & Development Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to work and EV Schemes
