Test Lead

• Highly experienced Test Lead (min 5 years) with excellent communication skills • Experience working within a globally distributed organisation • Experienced at creation of multi environment and multi-phase test strategy and plans • Expert at creating and reviewing test scenarios from business requirements • Strong, theoretical, and practical knowledge of API and Database testing • Define project level functional and non-functional test approaches. • Experience of using at least one of the following tools: Postman/SoapUI/Insomnia • Expert level at Jira and Zephyr test tooling • Good experience of test planning, reporting, co-ordination, and execution of all test activities • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills • Experience of automation testing tools including Selenium, Tosca and test data creation tooling • Hands on experience of automation and end-to-end testing within a complex environment across multiple applications • Leadership skills that empower and motivate team • Experience of Agile/Scrum projects • Ability to identify test entry and exit criteria and act on non-compliance • Ensure the test function follows an auditable robust process where controls can be evidenced. • Produce test estimates and work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project work is delivered to required timescales and quality levels. • Work alongside business analysts, scrum-masters and project managers to understand business goals/drivers and deliver testing artefacts to the required timescales. • Implement, maintain, and improve test team principles and strategy that address all aspects of the Test process. • Create Project level Automation Framework and ensure test automation is used effectively to minimise test cycle timescales while maintaining high quality standards. • Define and manage regression test pack, ensuring it’s kept up to date by the team • Provide test completion certification to move into Release process. • Ensure testing enables development projects to be delivered on time, meet business requirements, and fulfil end-user requirements. • Assist with identifying and resolving systems issues. • Defect management across all test phases and remediation activities including leading triage sessions for project specific bugs • Coach test team in proper test procedure, review techniques used for all types of testing practiced in the test function. • Provide regular reports to senior management to demonstrate progress of the test function. • Input into overall performance and NFR testing • Participate in project meetings with business and technical stakeholders to understand and deliver projects. • Ensure all testing follows the defined test process and provide input and updates for improvements where needed • Take responsibility for keeping test process relevant and up to date • Make important decisions relating to test within the context of the delivery environment • Conflict management and problem resolution skills • Positive team player working as part of a large programme • Process Improvement - Establish performance testing standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the organization • ISTQB Intermediate level
