Telematics Technician Telematics Technician – Manchester (with travel) The Opportunity Join our global operations team as a Telematics Expert Technician and deliver technical excellence in the installation and support of telematics systems across a wide range of equipment. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration, support local teams through training, and contribute to continuous process improvement worldwide. Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on installation of telematics trackers on various equipment types. Support installation projects across UK, European, and potentially wider global locations. Assist OEMs with telematics integration at factory level. Train local personnel on installation procedures to ensure independence and consistency. Develop training materials, guides, and checklists for telematics installations. Provide feedback to improve installation processes, tools, and documentation. Diagnose and resolve telematics-related technical issues promptly. Collaborate with internal teams and OEMs to align deployments with operational requirements. Support other technical projects, workshops, and documentation initiatives when workload or travel is limited. Skills & Experience Proven technical expertise in telematics hardware, installation, and integration. Hands-on experience with wiring, electronics, and field equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive process improvements. Experience training and supporting local teams in technical tasks. Effective communication and collaboration skills across multiple stakeholders. Able to travel frequently across UK, Europe, and other global locations as required.
