This role offers the opportunity to create high-quality technical documentation for complex software products within a collaborative, globally distributed team. The Technical Writer III will work closely with engineers, product teams, and subject matter experts to produce clear, concise, and user-friendly content for both IT administrators and end-users. You will translate complex concepts, such as identity verification, multi-factor authentication, and secure access, into accessible documentation. The position involves working in a Docs-as-Code environment with modern tools and contributing to the overall quality and usability of technical content. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, working across time zones, and improving the documentation experience for a wide audience.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update core administrator and end-user documentation for complex software products.
  • Collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts, and product teams to gather information and define content requirements.
  • Translate technical concepts, including authentication workflows and security features, into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Work in a Docs-as-Code environment using tools like AsciiDoc, IntelliJ IDE, and Git (GitHub) for content creation and publishing.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Conduct research and learn new products and technologies to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Participate in Agile development processes to anticipate and address documentation needs.

Requirements

  • 4–7+ years of experience in technical writing for software products.
  • Proven experience documenting complex software, ideally within identity and access management (IAM) or security applications.
  • Strong understanding of IT administrator and end-user workflows.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex or unfinished software with minimal guidance.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Preferred:

  • Experience documenting AI/ML concepts in cybersecurity or identity verification.
  • Knowledge of client and server software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience documenting mobile applications for iOS and Android.
  • Prior exposure to PingOne DaVinci, PingOne Protect, or similar identity products.
