What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • Tertiary degree in Geology (MSc or PhD highly regarded).Or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Geologist designation in at least one Canadian province.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in geological/mining environments.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of resource estimation processes and international reporting standards (CIM, JORC, SAMREC).
  • Proficiency in mining software (Leapfrog Edge, Datamine, Isatis, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility with hours and work locations.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.  

Preferred:

  • Experience acting as a Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Familiarity with Canadian regulatory frameworks and global codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate geological data and review QA/QC procedures.
  • Develop 3D geological models and perform geostatistical analyses.
  • Conduct grade interpolation and validate results.
  • Prepare Mineral Resource estimation reports aligned with CIM and JORC standards.
  • Undertake site visits and laboratory inspections (domestic and international).
  • Support corporate assignments such as due diligence and technical assessments.
  • Integrate resource evaluation with ERM’s global divisions.
  • Drive business development and client engagement initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor technical teams in Canada.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and legislative requirements.

For the Technical Consulting Director, Geology position, the anticipated annual base pay is $153,422 – $185,000 (CAD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
