In this role, you will take the lead in shaping the architecture, performance, and user experience of a next-generation Android platform designed for enterprise users worldwide. As part of a highly skilled and collaborative engineering team, you’ll work on building modular, secure, and scalable Android applications using the latest tools and technologies. You will be instrumental in defining technical standards, driving innovation, and integrating AI-driven capabilities into a world-class mobile experience. This is a high-impact position for a technical expert who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and enjoys tackling complex engineering challenges with autonomy and creativity.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and development of a modern, high-performance Android application from the ground up.
  • Define and maintain the app’s architecture using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and other modern Android SDK tools.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and leadership to deliver impactful features and seamless user experiences.
  • Drive technical excellence by setting best practices, coding standards, and scalable design principles across the mobile team.
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and security in enterprise-grade environments, including support for private cloud and MDM systems.
  • Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, testing automation, and performance optimization strategies.
  • Mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of learning, experimentation, and technical rigor.
  • Contribute to the evolution of mobile architecture and the integration of generative AI capabilities across platforms.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience developing production-grade Android applications in Kotlin, with deep knowledge of Jetpack Compose and Android SDK.
  • Expertise in architectural design patterns, performance optimization, and scalable modular app design.
  • Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, coroutines, and GraphQL-based networking.
  • Proven track record of leading major technical projects and initiatives across engineering teams.
  • Skilled in setting technical standards and driving alignment across multiple teams or projects.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD infrastructure, build automation, and mobile release pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • Preferred: experience with enterprise mobile applications, design systems, or AI/ML integration.
  • Bonus: familiarity with backend development (Java/Kotlin, Node.js, or Python) and mobile security frameworks.
