In this role, you will shape the technical vision and execution of large-scale data engineering solutions for advertising products. You will architect and maintain complex data pipelines, datasets, and analytical frameworks while collaborating closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams. Your work will directly impact the scalability, reliability, and performance of data systems that power advertising insights and business decisions. This role emphasizes technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on coding in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering frameworks. You will drive cross-functional initiatives, influence data strategy, and ensure high-quality, performant data solutions. Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale data pipelines and foundational datasets for advertising products.
  • Develop ETL processes, data models, and analytical frameworks to support high-volume ad data.
  • Implement data quality monitoring, automated anomaly detection, and alerting infrastructure at scale.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and provide mentorship to fellow engineers through pair programming and code reviews.
  • Create dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision-making and track key business metrics.
  • Drive technical strategy and architectural direction for advertising data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing production data pipelines with high-volume consumer or advertising data.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering frameworks, with a focus on performance and maintainability.
  • Experience designing, coding, and maintaining complex data models handling structured and unstructured data.
  • Expertise in digital advertising data, including ad serving, conversion tracking, advertising measurement, and integrating third-party data sources.
  • Strong experience implementing data quality audits, monitoring, and automated remediation at scale.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and communicate complex solutions effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with intellectual curiosity and commitment to technical excellence.
  • Bonus points for experience with BigQuery, Airflow, Dagster, DBT, Looker/Tableau, LLM/ML integration, or a passion for gaming.
