This role is designed for a strategic, technically savvy product leader who can oversee multiple digital products from concept to delivery. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, development teams, and vendors to define product roadmaps, document technical requirements, and ensure the lifecycle of each product aligns with business objectives. This position combines hands-on product management with mentoring responsibilities, providing guidance to other Product Owners. You will leverage agile methodologies to deliver high-value outcomes, track key success metrics, and continuously improve product performance. The role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder influence are central to success.

Accountabilities

  • Understand business and end-user needs, identifying and prioritizing features to maximize value delivery.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure development efforts align with product vision and objectives.
  • Facilitate stakeholder reviews, lead planning sessions, and maintain transparent communication throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop near- and long-term product roadmaps in collaboration with business owners, adjusting priorities based on feedback and validated outcomes.
  • Define and track key product success metrics, using data to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the lifecycle of multiple products, maintaining prioritized backlogs and ensuring readiness of user stories for development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop user stories, define features, and document technical requirements.
  • Assist with vendor management, contract review, and negotiation to support product development and enhancements.
  • Ensure products comply with regulatory, security, and quality standards.
  • Mentor other Product Owners, sharing best practices and fostering professional growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; equivalent specialized training or experience may substitute.
  • Strong knowledge of financial industry products and services; credit union experience preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) required; additional product lifecycle certifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business problems into actionable product strategies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira) and process flow/documentation tools (e.g., Lucidchart).
  • Experience with UI mockup and design tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Ability to manage multiple products and priorities, planning 3–6 months ahead.
