This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Presales Engineer / Sr. Presales Solutions Architect in the United States.

In this role, you will act as a technical leader for complex presales opportunities, guiding projects from requirements collection through proposal generation. You will design, evaluate, and modify solution architectures to meet customer needs while collaborating closely with sales, engineering, product, and service teams. Your expertise will directly impact project success, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence. The role involves providing consultative guidance, developing implementation strategies, and supporting contract negotiations. You will communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and help ensure timely and high-quality delivery of solutions. Travel is minimal, and the position allows for professional growth within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead presales engagements for complex projects, managing all technical aspects from requirements to proposals.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate system solutions to meet customer requirements, including radio coverage and network architecture.
  • Generate equipment lists, system diagrams, and calculate power and networking requirements.
  • Provide consultative guidance to customers and sales teams, participating in proposal reviews and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate across functional teams (Engineering, Systems Integration, Product, Service) to align goals and deliverables.
  • Develop implementation approaches and service plans that ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage projects to achieve sales, revenue, and margin objectives while delivering value to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Wireless, Computer, Network Engineering, or Computer Science, plus 5+ years of engineering or solutions architecture experience, OR 10+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures (e.g., APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G).
  • Solid understanding of IP networking architecture, protocols, and security.
  • Experience with RF coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a can-do mentality.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and think creatively.
  • Travel up to 25% domestically.
