Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. The Sponsor Officer, Stations Sponsor position (14 Months Contract) will provide professional expertise in the development and implementation of Sponsor Office strategies, protocols and processes to ensure that Sponsor Office’s interests and objectives are realized organization-wide at all stages, from planning and analytics through to implementation, to support the Stations capital projects program at Metrolinx. What will I be doing? Support Directors and Senior Managers with the Station Sponsors department, including advancing New and Existing GO Stations projects through meetings, conversations and interactions with other programs but not as subject matter expert. Develop the strategic processes and protocols for planning and sponsoring projects and initiatives with other Metrolinx divisions. Progress Sponsor Office’s interests and objectives throughout Metrolinx, while building relationships with our partners and coordinating and managing internal and external stakeholders requests and requirements. Incorporate analytical thinking in an organized and structured manner into each project. Support the decision-making process by developing documents for Senior Management including presentations, memos, emails and other products for elected officials, CEO office, Investment Panel and other forums. Be up to date on organization-wide initiatives, including GO Expansion, and identify gaps or challenges in collaboration between groups while communicating effectively with partners. Progress station planning initiatives such as First Mile/Last Mile, Station Access and Metrolinx Parking policy, as well administering the Station Steering committee and other station related policies and forums. Leading and coordinating process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, analyzing root causes, applying structured problem-solving techniques (LEAN), and driving implementation of sustainable solutions. Identifying and executing quick wins that resolve pain points and unblock stalled initiatives. Triaging incoming issues and requests, assessing urgency, and recommending prioritization or escalation paths. Ensure Sponsor Office representation is at the table where and when needed including on Working Groups and other review and decision-making bodies. Track schedules, lead times, changes to and implications on schedules for the delivering of information for all Sponsor program-wide implementation or impacts. Identify gaps in protocol for collaborative implementation process.
