Position #: 156645 Expected Start Date: Open till filled Union: HSAS Facility: Royal University Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Speech&Language Pathology - Childrens Rehab Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Speech Language Pathologist - Masters $43.309 to $52.958 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Reporting to the Primary Health Manager, within the context of a client and family centered care model, in accordance with established standards of professional practice, and the vision, mission and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultation services to children (birth to entry into kindergarten) with speech and language delays and disorders. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work independently Demonstrates care for and with clients and families Ability to work with young children individually and in small groups. Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to and implement change Knowledge of resources available to 0-5 population and caregivers in urban area Knowledge of intervention strategies for youth &families based on best practice Knowledge of social determinants of health affecting vulnerable populations Knowledge of speech and language development/disorders and diagnostics Knowledge of needs of young children and social and environmental factors Other Information Travel required Experience and training with the Hanen Program is preferred.
