Position #: 9006308 Expected Start Date: October 6, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Yorkton Regional Health Centre City/Town: Yorkton Department: Physiotherapy Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.62 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 9 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Speech Language Pathologist - Masters Senior $46.774 to $57.195 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager within the context of a client and family centered care model, in accordance with established standards of professional practice and the vision, mission, and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), the Speech Language Pathologist - Master's works collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals and programs to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech and language services to patients and clients. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies Basic - Computer skills Intermediate - Organizational skills Intermediate - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of theories and empirical findings in speech/language pathology Ability to maintain client/patient/resident confidentiality Highly developed organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to carry, load and unload equipment and supplies Knowledge in communication disorders in adults Adjusts clinical approaches in a culturally responsive and respectful manner Flexible & willing to adapt approach/priorities depending on client/family need Ability to work with patients and their families in a collaborative way Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to use professional judgement to plan appropriate interventions Knowledge in the areas of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and processes Advocates delivery of culturally safe, responsive & people-centered healthcare Ability to develop, implement & evaluate preventive & therapeutic programs Ability to work independently and with broader interdisciplinary teams Sensitive and understanding of diverse cultural aspects of population served Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups Other Information Experience and training with the Hanen Program is preferred.
