Software Engineer (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale databases and distributed systems in a highly mission-driven environment. Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable software solutions across large-scale databases and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with internal engineers, stakeholders, and open-source communities to resolve feature and bug requests.
• Integrate software products with existing systems while adhering to security protocols and compliance standards.
• Own architecture decisions and ensure technical quality across the engineering team.
• Develop documentation including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
• Provide mentorship to other engineers and contribute to raising engineering standards.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform product innovation.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience for mid-level or 5+ years for senior-level software engineering roles.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, TypeScript).
• Strong understanding of system design, APIs, databases, and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, including Controllers, Operators, and CRDs.
• Experience with software lifecycle management and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense software modernization projects is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
