This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher in the United States.

In this role, you will lead user experience research initiatives that directly shape product design and customer interactions across hardware and software platforms. You will translate customer needs and business goals into actionable insights, guiding cross-functional teams toward delivering intuitive, impactful experiences. This position offers the opportunity to work at the system level, balancing strategic research with hands-on execution, while driving continuous innovation and excellence in user-centered design. You will be a key advocate for customers, collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to influence product decisions and enhance overall user satisfaction.

Accountabilities

  • Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to define research needs and objectives.
  • Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative user research studies across the product lifecycle, including interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, and market analysis.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and design recommendations that inform product strategy and user experience improvements.
  • Establish and track UX metrics, user goals, and experience outcomes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Evangelize research insights to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and workshops, influencing design and product decisions.
  • Continuously explore new research methods and tools to enhance the UX research function.
  • Ensure research activities align with regulatory standards and design controls for hardware and software platforms.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in user research for hardware and software products.
  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including VoC, JTBD, Conjoint, MaxDiff, TURF, and usability testing.
  • Experience designing and conducting surveys using tools such as Qualtrics, CMIX, or Forsta; ability to analyze Conjoint/MaxDiff data with Sawtooth software.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt research plans quickly.
  • Experience with design control and regulatory standards for medical devices or similarly regulated industries is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multicultural teams and influence product decisions.
