Senior System Software Engineer - Genomics HPC (Remote - US)

In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing high-performance computing solutions for genomics and bioinformatics applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and deploy software that accelerates computational biology research on GPU architectures. Accountabilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize HPC software for genomics and bioinformatics applications.
• Analyze and tune performance on current and next-generation GPU architectures.
• Collaborate with industry and academic partners to understand computational challenges and deliver HPC solutions.
• Work closely with hardware, CUDA, and AI research teams to apply novel technologies to genomic analysis.
• Design and implement sophisticated algorithms and data structures to solve complex computational problems.
• Break down large problems into modular, independent components for scalable development.
• Contribute to productizing HPC software and delivering robust, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in system software engineering, HPC, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, CUDA, and software design principles.
• Experience with GPU programming, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of parallel programming, concurrency control, memory management, and scalability.
• Knowledge of computer system architecture and operating systems.
• Experience designing and implementing complex algorithms and data structures.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in technical environments.
