This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Solutions Architect in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to design and implement innovative, end-to-end data solutions across modern cloud platforms. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions. The position involves hands-on development, mentorship of other engineers, and collaboration across multiple cloud environments and data technologies. You will create detailed solution documentation, lead proofs-of-concept, and ensure integration with a variety of data sources. This is ideal for a technically skilled, client-facing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment and enjoys solving complex data challenges at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, implement, and deliver end-to-end data solutions across cloud platforms including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, and Databricks.
  • Develop high-quality technical solutions that ensure performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.
  • Lead technical teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Serve as a client-facing technical advisor, creating presentations, detailed solution documentation, and architectural diagrams.
  • Translate business and client requirements into actionable technical solutions, including proofs-of-concept and roadmaps.
  • Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect or Data Engineer.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
  • Expertise with core cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP) and SQL.
  • Experience with multiple data sources (relational, NoSQL, files, queues, APIs) and data integration technologies (Spark, Kafka, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, etc.).
  • Ability to create detailed technical documentation, including system views, class hierarchies, and sequence diagrams.
  • Strong client-facing written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering presentations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automated data transformation and orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi).
  • Familiarity with distributed data storage systems (S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, ElasticSearch/Solr, Cassandra).
  • Proven track record in mentoring and leading technical teams.
