This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and enhancement of insurance products in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Senior Product Specialist will partner with cross-functional teams, including legal, underwriting, claims, and regulatory departments, to ensure product solutions meet market needs and regulatory requirements. You will manage complex product projects, draft and maintain policy forms and endorsements, and provide guidance on regulatory compliance. Your expertise will help deliver innovative, high-quality insurance products while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position allows for meaningful impact on both product quality and operational efficiency in a remote setting.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain coverage forms, endorsements, and rules for commercial insurance products, including both admitted and non-admitted lines.
- Manage complex product development projects in collaboration with underwriting, claims, legal, actuarial, and regulatory teams.
- Draft manuscript endorsements that provide coverage enhancements while maintaining policy integrity.
- Monitor and incorporate bureau circulars and regulatory changes into proprietary products.
- Ensure accurate completion of filing packages, compliance attestations, and responses to state insurance department inquiries.
- Facilitate legal, underwriting, and claims review of product changes and enhancements.
- Conduct customer engagements to validate that product solutions address market challenges.
- Provide guidance and support to field staff regarding products and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- CPCU designation or equivalent coursework preferred, or actively pursuing.
- Minimum 3+ years of insurance product development or underwriting experience, specifically in Construction and Commercial Auto lines.
- Strong expertise in the review and drafting of insurance policy forms.
- Knowledge of ISO and AAIS products; familiarity with SERFF / I-FILE preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively present ideas internally and externally.
- Knowledge of Construction and Sharing Economy (Commercial Auto) industries preferred.
