We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Product Designer. Join the Global Design Team within International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) at HSBC, where we create best-in-class experiences that make a difference in customers' lives. We align business strategy with user needs across channels and touchpoints to shape the future experience for affluent customers across the globe. As a Senior Product Designer, your mission is to define and deliver best-in-class experiences for millions of customers across the globe, unlocking the full potential of the banking app and connected channels. You’ll achieve this by defining global standards through data, research and insights and benchmarking against the best, in and out of category. You’ll be working with cross-functional teams to deliver a portfolio of projects in a specific business area or initiative. You’ll balance ‘vision’ against ‘delivery’, ensuring your designs deliver today’s features, while driving the unconstrained future vision. And you’ll channel the voice of the customer as you collaborate with product, tech, and research partners to define meaningful customer outcomes and deliver seamless experiences. In this role you will: • Elevate design quality and practice across the team, mentoring designers, championing design thinking, and embedding a culture of excellence and accountability. • Ensure the highest standard of craft, clarity and creativity, across user experience (UX), user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) Writing, whilst working alongside a global team of Product Designers and supporting disciplines. • Translate complex financial services and regulatory requirements into simple, engaging, and trustworthy digital experiences. • Conduct research and effectively apply data and insights to inform, evaluate, and validate customer experiences that deliver real value • Obsess over the details of UX, content, visual and interaction design, consistently pushing boundaries to create innovative, inclusive, and elegant experiences across all stages of the product development lifecycle. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: • Essential: Proven experience designing digital products and services, with growing responsibility and impact • A strong portfolio showcasing world-class product design across responsive and native platforms, with clear user and business outcomes. • Expertise in Figma, design systems, prototyping, and core UX disciplines including research, content design, testing, visual and interaction design, and information architecture. • Experience in complex, regulated environments—ideally financial services • Demonstrate a capability for writing effective content as part of your product design skill set - so that language and design work together to create intuitive user experiences.
