We are seeking a Senior People Business Partner (Sr. PBP) to support either our engineering or revenue organizations. In this role, you will be a strategic partner to the business, focused on creating and executing a people strategy that supports a high-performing and complex technical or revenue culture. This is a crucial role for a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, can balance big picture thinking while able to get into the weeds, and can proactively build solutions without needing specific direction. You will partner directly with leaders (VP+) and serve as a mentor and guide to more junior members of our People team.
StackAdapt is a Remote First company, and we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada or the United States for this position.
What you’ll be doing:
- Serve as a Strategic Partner: Proactively engage with Revenue leaders (VP+) and managers to understand business and people challenges, anticipate people-related issues, and build scalable solutions. Act as a trusted advisor and coach on all people matters, from organizational design to talent planning.
- Drive Performance and Development: Lead and facilitate critical HR processes, including performance calibrations, and talent reviews. Partner with leaders to foster a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and professional growth within the engineering teams.
- Manage Employee Relations and Investigations: Independently investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing clear guidance and support to Revenue leaders and employees.
- Champion Culture and Engagement: Partner with VP+ on the design and execution of action plans based on engagement survey data.
- Mentor and Develop: Act as a mentor for junior members of the People team, providing guidance and sharing expertise in complex business partnering, employee relations, and stakeholder management.
- Navigate and Innovate: Thrive autonomously in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Use data and insights to develop dynamic solutions to novel problems, balancing the needs of the business with the well-being of our people.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Deep HR Expertise: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 4+ years as an HR Business Partner supporting a Revenue organization.
- Proactive and Self-Starting: Demonstrated ability to anticipate short to medium term problems and build solutions from the ground up without extensive direction. You are a natural problem-solver who takes initiative.
- Mentorship: Experience mentoring or coaching junior HR professionals on a variety of people-related topics.
- Expertise in Key HR Functions: Strong experience in employee relations, scalable people growth strategies, performance management, engagement initiatives, and change management.
- Ambiguity and Change: A proven ability to navigate and succeed in a complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment.
Communication: Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
