This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer in the United States.

This role provides an opportunity to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale network solutions across diverse client environments. The Senior Network Engineer will lead the development of secure, high-performance voice and data networks, contributing to network architecture, capacity planning, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver reliable, scalable network services, while proactively monitoring performance and implementing improvements. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, problem-solving, and innovation, with exposure to advanced networking technologies including SDN, firewalls, routing, and cloud-based network solutions. You will have the chance to mentor peers, drive automation initiatives, and participate in strategic technical decision-making in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, engineer, and implement complex enterprise and data center network solutions, including LAN/WAN, security, VOIP, and QoS technologies.
  • Provide L3 operational support for troubleshooting and resolving network communications and performance issues.
  • Participate in Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Event Management for client environments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather requirements, coordinate solutions, and provide strategic technical direction.
  • Monitor network performance, recommend improvements, and ensure operational excellence.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, automation, and continuous process improvements.
  • Conduct research on emerging networking technologies and propose innovative solutions for network enhancements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in network engineering, design, and architecture, including at least 2 years in a senior or similar role.
  • Expertise in TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols, network diagnostics, and enterprise network technologies (EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VPN, SSH).
  • Experience with Cisco product portfolio, firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), and wireless networking.
  • Familiarity with SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI or VMware NSX.
  • Proficient in network automation and scripting tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational ability, and detail orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to consult at all organizational levels.
  • Experience with cloud networking, network capacity planning, and performance monitoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CCDP, or CCDE.
  • Experience with load balancing technologies such as F5, NetScaler, or A10.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, client-facing managed services environment.
