The Advancement department at INSEAD is dedicated to fundraising and developing relationships with alumni and donors. It plays a crucial role in supporting the school’s strategic initiatives and promoting engagement within the INSEAD community. INSEAD is seeking a Senior Manager, Communications to join our Advancement Department. This is a full-time, temporary CDD position (contract ends 31 August 2026) based at our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France. A hybrid working model is in place – 3 days on campus, 2 days from home. About the job Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing and Communications for Advancement, you will provide critical support to INSEAD’s fundraising and alumni engagement activities by leading strategic communications across the global alumni and donor community. The role combines project management, editorial, and storytelling to deliver high-quality content for key campaigns and fundraising intiiatives (for ex. Giving Day, Reunions, Europe Campus Re-imagination (ECR)), as well as flagship publications such as the Alumni Magazine and Donors’ Report. Responsibilities also include managing content for the alumni website, preparing impactful PowerPoint presentations, and coordinating internal communications such as the Advancement full staff meeting. You will also work closely with the senior leadership team and colleagues from the Annual Fund, Reunion, Campaign, and other areas to ensure communications resonate with alumni and donors and support our objectives for fundraising and alumni engagement. Your role within the team Campaign, Project management: Lead communications for critical fundraising initiatives (e.g. Giving Day, Reunions, ECR, Scholarship, Research), developing integrated plans and coordinating execution across email, social media, web, video, and print. Manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes. Coordinate internal communications including the full staff meeting. Content and Editorial: Lead editorial planning and serve as project manager and editor for flagship publications such as the Alumni Magazine/News and the Donors’ Report. Develop and deliver high-quality content for digital and print, including alumni stories, donor and volunteer features, campaign messaging, PowerPoint presentations for leadership external engagement, and reports. Alumni Engagement and data: Oversee content across Advancement channels (alumni website, publications, presentations, toolkits), and review content for alumni-focused sections of publications from other INSEAD departments. Use data and performance insights (web, social, email etc.) to identify what resonates most with alumni and donors, refine messaging, and continuously improve communications impact. The ideal candidate profile Master's Degree in Marketing / Communications, or other suitable degree Over 5 years of experience in digital, mobile, and social media content creation and management. Skilled in editorial planning, storytelling, and campaign delivery across platforms. Experience working in international, collaborative environments, with a focus on data-driven strategy and audience engagement. Able to work effectively with others, readily share information, and support a collaborative work environment. Consistently deliver high-quality work and demonstrate reliability in performing their day-to-day responsibilities. Excellent communication skills across social media platforms. Strong knowledge of digital tools and software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Analytics, and SEO best practices. Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Illustrator is a plus. Familiar with content management systems and website editing. Confident in data reporting, interpretation, and using analytics to inform strategy and forecast performance.
