Your responsibilities Own and orchestrate internal communications across the business, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment as DeepL grows. Project manage the internal communications function, including the weekly newsletter, monthly All Hands, and major leadership communications. Help build and deliver a global, cross-departmental internal comms strategy, ensuring the right information reaches the right people at the right time. Serve as a trusted business partner to every function, especially People, IT and Office teams, supporting leaders with messaging, storytelling, and communication planning. Lead "internal moments" such as financial results, product launches, leadership announcements, and company milestones. Produce clear, creative, well-designed presentations and slides for internal announcements, leadership updates, and company events. Coach teams on effective communication practices across email, Slack, Zoom, and intranet channels. Run diagnostics on communication effectiveness, identifying gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Bring creative judgement and common sense to your work, finding simple, human ways to communicate complex information. Work flexibly and intuitively, adapting to changing business needs while keeping standards high and execution tight. What success looks like: A smooth, predictable, well-run internal communications calendar across functions and time zones. Clear, coherent narrative flow across all major company moments. Higher employee understanding and alignment, reflected in NPS and comms-specific engagement metrics. More efficient and consistent communication flows across teams. Recognised by stakeholders as a proactive orchestrator and collaborator who elevates the bar for communications. Qualities we look for 5-7+ years of relevant communications experience, ideally internal communications within a global SaaS scale-up. Proven ability to design, build, and run internal comms programs end-to-end. Native-level fluency in English (German a strong plus). Demonstrated success communicating across Europe, the US, and Asia, with cultural sensitivity and adaptability. Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences. Exceptional project management: structure, prioritisation, problem-solving, deadline ownership. Collaborative, confident stakeholder management, from senior leaders to cross-functional teams. High initiative, strong judgement, and the ability to work autonomously with minimal direction. Bonus if you also have: Experience in visual design or video editing. Experience leading communication skills or presentation training. Strong network in AI, SaaS, or language-tech sectors.
