We’re looking for a skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with focus on Wintel to play a key role in shaping and supporting the technology that underpins our clients’ success. You’ll bring deep expertise in infrastructure technologies, with a clear understanding of the latest industry developments and future strategies. The role is permanent, based on-site 3 days a week in Salisbury or Portsdown West (Portsmouth) and requires DV security clearance. Maybe required to vary hours to cover 8am-6pm service. What you will be doing: Provide technical support for Windows Server environments both on-premise and in the cloud Working autonomously or within a team to troubleshoot and resolve complex server, network, and infrastructure issues within agreed SLA’s. Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services. Oversee and support server patching, upgrades, and maintenance in line with security and compliance standards. Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure high availability, performance and reliability. Work with 1st and 2nd line support teams to escalate and resolve incidents within agreed SLA’s Maintain and update documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing. Support virtualization technologies (VMware) and cloud (AWS and Azure. Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and best practices. Assist in project planning and execution for infrastructure upgrades and migrations, working with Architects and Project Managers.
