JOB SUMMARY: 

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst at Argano is a critical role within the Finance team. This position involves leading the financial planning process, providing strategic insights, and supporting leadership decision-making. Their responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. They provide accurate and timely consolidated financial statements and analyses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and enhancement of financial models. 
  • Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to senior management. 
  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial reports. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives. 
  • Assisting with budgeting and monthly close processes. 
  • Performing research and analysis as required. 
  • Escalates any financial issues to management. 
  • Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance.
  • Work closely with accounting during monthly close.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive profitability, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to synthesize data and tell the story from a business and operational perspective.

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, expected.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis or planning. 
  • Advanced knowledge of financial planning. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. 
  • Deep knowledge of financial analysis and reporting. 
  • Experience in preparing and presenting comprehensive financial reports

 

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS 

Excel Proficiency: Strong Excel skills for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.

Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Financial Modeling: Proficiency in building and maintaining financial models for forecasting and budgeting. 

Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to extract insights from large datasets. 

Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to long-term financial planning. 

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaboration with various departments for financial insights and analysis. 

Project Management: Project management skills for handling complex financial projects. 

Advanced Financial Modeling: Advanced financial modeling skills for scenario analysis and strategic planning.
