As the Senior Director, Capital Adequacy and Risk Disclosure within Desjardins Group, you will leverage your deep expertise in enterprise risk management to lead strategic and operational initiatives that strengthen our organization’s solvency. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing risk frameworks that align with our strategic objectives and regulatory expectations. Your ability to think strategically and maintain a holistic view of organizational risks is essential. Acting as a trusted partner to business sectors, you will provide insight into the enterprise-wide risk posture and foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulators. More specifically, you will be required to: Manage and deliver the Risk Appetite Framework, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and target results. Lead the implementation of a robust ICAAP framework, ensuring transparency and rigor in internal and external communications. Implement rigorous living will processes to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance of regulatory reports and disclosures. Produce internal and external risk disclosures and provide decision-making support to senior leadership. Establish management and communication practices that drive change management, talent development, employee engagement, and diversity, in keeping with Desjardins’s values. What you bring to the table Bachelor’s degree in a related field A minimum of ten years of relevant experience, including at least six years of extensive experience in risk management Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered Knowledge of French is required Proven ability to communicate complex issues in plain language to diverse audiences, including senior management and external stakeholders Advanced knowledge of: Economic capital and regulatory capital concepts, Risk appetite frameworks and Stress testing methodologies Action oriented, Communicates effectively, Complexity, Customer Focus, Develops talent, Differences, Drive results, Engagement, Networks, Nimble learning, Strategic mindset #LI-Hybrid Trade Union (If applicable) At Desjardins, we believe in equity, diversity and inclusion.
