Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist (Contract)

We're seeking talented and highly motivated Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialists to join a critical, high-priority initiative focused on migrating our virtual machine (VM) infrastructure from VMware to Red Hat OpenShift.

This is a short-term contract opportunity that requires a flexible time commitment and ability to work flexible hours to meet tight migration deadlines and align with team schedules.

What You’ll Do

• Design and Deploy OpenShift Infrastructure: Build and deploy new, high-performance OpenShift infrastructure with a strong focus on low-latency data center deployments.
• Execute VM Migration: Plan and execute the migration of existing virtual machines from VMware environments into the new OpenShift platform, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate and Schedule: Work a flexible schedule to align with team schedules and tight migration windows.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• VMware Expertise: Demonstrable experience in the development, migration, and/or management of VMware infrastructure.
• OpenShift Proficiency: Strong practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including deployment, configuration, and management.
• Migration Experience: Proven experience executing VM migration activities from traditional virtualization platforms to container-based platforms (OpenShift is highly desirable).
• Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to accommodate critical migration windows.

Nice-to-Haves

• OpenShift Architecture: Experience designing and architecting robust and scalable OpenShift clusters.
• Media Delivery Experience: Prior infrastructure development and deployment experience within media delivery pipelines.
• Low-Latency Focus: Expertise in building and optimizing infrastructure for demanding low-latency performance requirements.
