About the Role You will support the review of the climate change risk register and the development of action plans for high risk service areas, which will set out how the Council will seek to mitigate the identified risks. You will have the vision to identify and develop environmental projects and initiatives that contribute towards the cross cutting aims and objectives of the Council’s environmental strategies and action plans. You will have experience of supporting a portfolio of projects with knowledge of environmental technical data and information. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with diverse priorities. About You To apply for this post, you must: Have demonstrable work experience in a relevant environmental area and have experience of the preparation of strategic documents and/or action plans. Have managed successful projects from concept through to delivery. Have developed and maintained successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Be able to analyse and interpret complex data and write technical and non-technical reports for a wide range of audiences including elected members. Have excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to negotiate and influence at senior level. Be able to work closely with and support a team including line management experience. Have a sound knowledge of environmental management and climate change, including national policy and legislation. You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
