We offer both advisory and executory restructuring services, working with a diverse range of clients where government is a key stakeholder including government departments, arms-length bodies, regulators, local and devolved government. Being part of the R&I team provides a unique opportunity to gain experience across both advisory and executory restructuring service offerings: Public Sector restructuring advisory: we provide hands-on support to our clients where government is a key stakeholder. These projects include working with both Government stakeholders and companies that actively engage with Government departments alongside focussing on the company and/or sector in distress. This could involve performing independent business reviews (IBRs), strategic reviews, options analysis, cash flow management and much more. We are looking for people who are keen to develop themselves across this wide range of skills and we will provide the environment and support to help grow your experience and confidence. Executory restructuring: we advise on restructuring solutions and how insolvency processes can be used to maximise outcomes for all stakeholders. Our work includes all aspects of pre-insolvency advice and options assessment, contingency planning, or executing administrations, liquidations and other rescue mechanisms. What your Days Will Look Like Working on high-profile, fast-paced projects where the public sector is a key stakeholder in restructuring and insolvency situations. Reviewing financial and operational performance, identifying key issues for clients and stakeholders. Supporting senior team members on projects and assist in delivering larger complex projects. Getting one to one coaching from the senior team around you about any new / complex technical or soft skill experience that you might not yet have fully honed – we are focused on developing our people and don't expect anyone to know everything about these complex situations. You'll be in a safe environment where no question is a ‘stupid question’. Conducting cash flow and financial modelling, assessing everything from short-term requirements to long-term viability and contingency planning. Preparing reports and presentations for a variety of clients and stakeholders in both advisory and executory roles. Assisting Insolvency Practitioners with formal appointments (e.g. administrations, liquidations, CVAs, restructuring plans), including managing trading businesses during insolvency. Using technology and digital tools to deliver analysis efficiently and explore innovative solutions. Attending industry-wide restructuring events to develop technical knowledge or expand your professional network, including formal restructuring-focused training courses and seminars, whether delivered internally or externally This Role is for you if: Are enthusiastic and proactive with an interest in helping companies navigate through difficult circumstances Working towards a CA/ACA/ACCA Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have work experience in and around the restructuring market (whether that's a project you delivered while working for a government department or at a financial institution). Have sound financial analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Have experience in the Public Sector or have worked with government in your current role. Have an interest in government priorities including key policy measures (e.g. Industrial Strategy).
