The focus of the role will be to work within the Client Development team, managing relationships with existing clients as well as identifying new business opportunities. The Senior Account Manager will also be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to the existing client base, forging strong, trusting relationships to achieve year–on–year growth and upselling where possible. Essential accountabilities Client Relationship Management Responsible for independently managing relationships with existing clients, with the ability to understand and deliver against their needs. This includes attending client meetings independently, presenting ideas and budgets confidently and developing a strategic account plan. Identify and develop new business opportunities, working in close partnership with the new client to build a lasting and effective relationship. Deploy client – facing negotiation skills by offering additional services and increasing the value of the account. Gain and develop insight into creative concepts and ideas within the industry, as well as digital and social campaigns and effectively communicate these to existing clients and potential clients. Manage client objections and complaints, offering effective solutions. Sales and Negotiation Skills Demonstrate strong sales and negotiation skills from the outset, including being able to confidently articulate N2O’s offering, generating excitement and interest in what we do. Create and develop client proposals, reports and creative briefs and subsequently demonstrate competence and capability when participating in the pitch process, including clear and confident delivery of presentations Commercial - Quotations & Finance Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of quotation guidelines and rate cards which are applicable to varying clients and types of activities. Be able to input complex and comprehensive quotes into the BMS and be confident in upskilling the junior members of the team on all financial aspects of a brief (including rate cards, creating quotes, margins, supplier slots, POs and receiving payments). Internal Collaboration Work in close partnership with internal departments and clients, advising them on any amendments and related costs for additional work, adhering to budget and resource feasibility. Work in close collaboration with our Creative department, demonstrating a strong understanding of internal processes as well as our Marketing department, sharing social campaigns through our social media channels. Work cohesively and collaboratively with the Campaign Management department, ensuring KPIs are communicated and campaigns are delivered within agreed costs and margin targets. Ensure all key deadlines, budgets and commercials are effectively communicated and adhered to, by building effective working relationships with the relevant internal departments. Leadership & People Management As a senior member of the Client Development team, demonstrate professional conduct at all times and coach and support junior members of the team to do the same. Be an advocate for collaborative working across multiple internal departments, working to ensure effective solutions and outcomes are reached. Effectively manage people management issues, such as performance, conduct and absence (seeking guidance from HR). Lead by example, developing and maintaining productive, positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels within the company. Essential Demonstrable account management experience A successful track record of client development within retail preferably food and drink Able to create and maintain robust client relationships for the longer term Management / supervisory experience. Strong and open communication and presentation skills to deliver presentations. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages. Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task and juggle different priorities whilst retaining a cool head and an undeviating professional demeanour. The ability to develop multiple clients at one time. • Good administration skills and attention to detail. Great team player with a flexible approach in work situations. Desirable Experiential or brand activation market background. A keen interest in marketing, technology and retail innovation.
